AFULIC - Amigos de la Fundación Leloir y otras instituciones para la Investigación contra el Cáncer
Program Details
Let's support translational oncology.
WE ARE AFULIC
A non-profit civil association founded in Río Cuarto, Córdoba (Argentina), with the mission of driving scientific research for the development of new cancer therapies.
Since 2002, we have worked to strengthen the Molecular and Cellular Therapy Laboratory at the Leloir Institute. Led by Dr. Osvaldo Podhajcer and staffed by a team of internationally renowned researchers, the laboratory conducts excellent research in gene therapy, oncolytic viruses, and immunotherapy, establishing itself as a leading group in translational oncology in Argentina.
What do we do, and why?
We raise funds to support the laboratory's research programs and contribute to the development of innovative projects in translational oncology. In doing so, we provide the necessary resources to transform ideas born in the laboratory into new therapeutic options for patients.
We believe that a lack of funding should never be an obstacle to the advancement of research with the potential to change lives. Thanks to the commitment of our members, companies, and collaborators, AFULIC funds the purchase of essential research supplies and awards scholarships to undergraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral students, fostering the training of new generations of scientists dedicated to developing increasingly effective cancer treatments.
