Our Mission and Roots

Luz de Esperanza (Light of Hope) is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 in the heart of Barrio 31, Buenos Aires. Our mission is to transform lives through dignified work, providing real employment opportunities for individuals in situations of extreme social and economic vulnerability who are undergoing comprehensive treatment for substance abuse. We walk alongside participants from the "Hogares de Cristo" network—individuals striving to overcome exclusion and build an autonomous life project.

Our Management Model: Three Core Pillars

To ensure that the opportunity for transformation is sustainable over time, we base our work on three fundamental pillars:

1. Productive Strengthening: We operate a high-quality production workshop specializing in soy wax candles and home goods (upcycled glassware), where learning a craft serves as a tool for dignity.
2. Comprehensive Support: Our professional team provides constant human, social, and administrative guidance, ensuring that the workplace remains a stable environment that supports the recovery process.
3. Impact Community: We have built a network of companies, subscribers, and donors who choose to be part of the change by integrating our products into their value chain.

Impact and 2025 Milestones

2025 has been the year of "The Value of Permanence," successfully ensuring that stability outweighs turnover. Key milestones include:

• Process Sustainability: We achieved a 76% workplace attendance rate, with 65% of our participants sustaining their process for more than 4 months.
• Commercial Excellence: We consolidated our "Mercado Líder Gold" status, proving that our artisanal products compete with the highest market standards.
• Sustainable Production: We produced over 25,600 candles and strategically migrated to soy wax, reducing paraffin use by 76.9%.

Transparency and Future Vision

We operate with full transparency, presenting audited financial statements and offering tax benefits for our donors. Looking toward 2026, our goal is to expand our capacity and continue proving that when a real, sustained opportunity is provided, transformation happens.
