Asociación Civil Maria Del Rosario De San Nicolás

We are a civil association that believes in a childhood without violence, neglect or abandonment. We are dedicated to providing a positive life for girls and adolescents who have been victims of family violence, abuse, marginalization, neglect or mistreatment. The girls are referred to the Hogar (Spanish for “Home”) by the National Courts and the Department of Children, Youth and Family.

GOALS

We are a civil association that believes in a childhood without violence, neglect or abandonment.

We are dedicated to providing a positive life for girls and adolescents who have been victims of family violence, abuse, marginalization, neglect or mistreatment. The girls are referred to the Hogar

(Spanish for “Home”) by the National Courts and the Department of Children, Youth and Family.

We aim for a full reintegration into society with an effective, real, concrete and feasible project. The reintegration is implemented according to the child's possibilities, and could consist of either a reintegration into their families or an independent life project itself. Our mission is embodied by a home where girls and adolescents receive both emotional and psychological support, education, training, and the provision of basic needs.

Their future is our challenge!

VISION

We are an organization that provides girls and adolescents with histories of abuse the tools to achieve a quality of life based on independence, responsibility and dignity.

OUR ORIGINS

The founders (Patricia Passerieu, María Luisa Peyri, María Miguens and Marcela W de Elizalde) created the

nonprofit Civil Association “Maria del Rosario de San Nicolas” in 1993.

The project first developed over three years of volunteer work with vulnerable female youth. The creation of the association was the outcome of the commitment of these three women to help out in a more personal and professional manner.
