Casa Ronald McDonald Argentina
Casa Ronald McDonald Argentina has been supporting families from across the country for more than 30 years while their children undergo complex medical treatments. Its mission is to ensure that no family faces a child's illness alone through its 11 prevention, care, and family support programs.
Ronald McDonald Houses provide support and comfort to families from across the country whose children are undergoing complex medical treatments at Hospital Italiano (Buenos Aires), Dr. Humberto Notti Hospital (Mendoza), Santísima Trinidad Children's Hospital (Córdoba), and Dr. José Penna Hospital (Bahía Blanca).
In addition, they operate family support spaces within hospitals, including the Intensive Care Parents’ Room and the Neonatal Family Room at Garrahan Pediatric Hospital, the Family Room at Sor María Ludovica Children's Hospital in La Plata, and the Intensive Care Parents’ Room at Hospital de la Santísima Trinidad in Córdoba.
Through our Ronald McDonald Mobile Care Unit they provide high-quality primary pediatric, dental, and eye care services to children and adolescents up to 16 years old living in communities with limited access to healthcare.
The Healthy Habits Promotion Unit develops educational workshops and story-based learning activities in partnership with organizations and specialists, helping children and families build healthy habits from an early age. Topics include nutrition, hygiene, oral health, friendship, self-care, neurodiversity, vision health, road safety, environmental awareness, and digital well-being.
The Wellness Unit is a volunteer-run mobile cart that visits different hospital areas, offering beverages and snacks. The program focuses on supporting parents and caregivers of children hospitalized in Intensive Care, Neonatology, and Oncology units.
