THE SHIFT FOUNDATION
The Shift Foundation is an organization dedicated to driving research, standards, leadership training, and cross-sector collaboration to help societies, institutions, and governments prepare for the most profound demographic transformation of our time.
Our mission is to accelerate Latin America's preparedness in the face of a change that is already redefining work, health, economic security, care, cities, and public policies. While Europe and other developed economies aged gradually over decades of growth and wealth accumulation, Latin America is aging at an unprecedented speed and with fewer resources, lower productivity, and systems still inadequately prepared to sustain longer lives.
If this transition is not managed in time, it could become one of the region's greatest social and economic challenges. If we act now, it represents a historic opportunity to build more inclusive, productive, and resilient societies. That is why The Shift Foundation promotes research, evidence generation, open standards, leadership training, and cooperation among organizations, governments, universities, and international bodies. Because the demographic shift has already arrived. And the time to prepare is limited.
Our presence in Argentina
In Argentina, The Shift Foundation's mission is implemented by Asociación Civil Modo Silver, a non-profit organization responsible for developing and executing the Foundation's programs, research, and initiatives in the country. As the official representative of The Shift Foundation in Argentina, Asociación Civil Modo Silver works alongside companies, governments, universities, and civil society organizations to strengthen institutional preparedness for demographic change and promote evidence-based solutions.
To turn this vision into meaningful impact, we are advancing initiatives that strengthen Latin America's knowledge, leadership, and capacity to respond to demographic change.
Projects
01. Demographic Future Fund
Preparing Latin America for the greatest transformation of our time.
Latin America is aging faster than advanced economies, yet without having accumulated the same levels of wealth, productivity, and institutional readiness that accompanied similar transitions in other regions.
As life expectancy and longevity continue to increase, fertility rates decline, and labor markets, healthcare systems, economic security, and public policy undergo profound change. Yet many of our institutions continue to respond to a demographic reality that no longer exists.
The Demographic Future Fund advances research, open standards, and evidence generation to help governments, organizations, and leaders understand, anticipate, and respond to this transformation.
Knowledge to act. Evidence to decide.
