The aim of Fundación Leer is to promote reading and literacy amongst children in Argentina, generating a long-lasting and positive impact in their personal development to facilitate their social inclusion.
Fundación Leer was founded in March 1997 to encourage the reading habit, fundamental aspect in the education of children and main factor for their active social inclusion.The aim of Fundación Leer is to promote reading and literacy amongst children in Argentina, generating a long-lasting and positive impact in their personal development to facilitate their social inclusion.
Fundación Leer operates at a national level, retaining a local view. Its programs are implemented at schools, public and private, rural schools, libraries, hospitals, community centers, soup kitchens, centers for children with disabilities and youth centers.

Program Read 20-20 aim to increase the quantity of books read by the children in a year as well as the frequency of reading books at school and at home. The program will distribute to the school 4 backpacks with 30 new books each that will benefit 76 children from Elementary School N° 428 “Juan de Garay” in Cayastá, province of Santa Fe. This program is proposed as a reading challenge in which the school and the family forge an alliance to increase places to read, proposing the reading of 20 titles throughout the year.
