Do you have an innovative and sustainable solution?

The Zayed prize is open for Latin American changemakers

For the first time ever, the Zayed Sustainability Prize is accepting entries in the category of health, food, water, and energy in Latin America. The deadline is August 9, 2018.

The Prize is open to both for-profit and non-profit organizations in Latin America that are driving innovative and inspirational solutions to urgent problems facing the world today in the fields of health, water, energy, and food.

The Prize was established in 2008 by the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the Zayed Future Energy Prize. It was created to honour the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s legacy of environmental stewardship and sustainability. Over the past decade, the Prize has seen 66 winners positively impact the lives of over 307 million people with innovative renewable energy solutions.

In 2018, the Prize adopted a new strategic direction to meet rapidly evolving global sustainability priorities beyond energy, and was renamed the Zayed Sustainability Prize. Drawing on 10 years of success, the Zayed Sustainability Prize now supports solutions from across the sustainability spectrum for a broader impact.

This year, the Prize will award $3,000,000 distributed among five categories with an allocation of $600,000 for each: Health, Water, Food, Energy, and Global Secondary Schools.
