The books of the Museo Moderno: A motor for reading and reflection
At the Moderno we think that books are a complex and sensitive device that facilitates the acces to knowledge as a way of answering the big questions about art and the world of today. That is why, for each publication, we try our best to create a delicate balance between texts and images that invites you to read essays, literary and critical content, with a design that accompanies each proposition. We also look for the publishing instance to be a motor for thought, contributing with reflections generated by specialists from the art world and other disciplines with a complimentary way of seeing things, creating new questions for the reader. Moreover, we accompany and publish the investigations created at the museum by our different teams. In this way, each book is a document that not only constitutes the register of an exhibit, but also establishes a dialogue with it and helps spread reading and knowledge through the modern and contemporary argentine cultural heritage.
The over than 50 title catalog continues to grow with the upcoming publications with the objective to continue spreading the task of argentine artists and the great team at the Museo Moderno. Also, with the series of books for families and children, and educational publications. Moreover, in 2023 we started to develop a potent collection of essays that will give visibility to the investigation and work going on inside the museum.
