Sonrisas para los Chicos Asociacion Civil

SonRisas works with the rights of the child, from its own spaces in the neighborhoods, creating the development framework for a dignified childhood in other to reach an adulthood with opportunities.

MISSION: Create a framework where children and adolescents can have a dignified childhood and reach adulthood with opportunities.


PROGRAMS:

Community Compensation
-Objective: To fight against food emergency, generating a sense of belonging, with concrete work and not in an assistance way, and also try to bring their children closer to our community.
-Description: Food aid is given to families in exchange for community work at the headquarters. A basket of food is two hours per week of social work.
-Target population: 420 families, 2500 people, from the neighborhoods of “Lauda”, “Chacritas” and “El Pantano”.
-Where takes place: Monte Grande, Municipality of Esteban Echeverría, Province of Buenos Aires.

Integral Education Device
-Objective: To Accompany the educational process of children and adolescents in the neighborhoods where we work.
-Description: A space that contains different educational proposals for the entire population that participates in SonRisas, divided into three large groups:
1) “Sonriseritos”: an early education space for 4 and 5 year olds who have not been able to find a vacant in the public kinder gardens in the area.
2) “Todos Leemos”: a literacy program for children and adolescents who do not know how to read and write despite the fact that they are going through the formal educational system.
3) “Educar y Crecer”: a space for systematized school support with manuals, guides and grading that accompanies the formal education school cycle.
-Target population: 890 children and adolescents from the neighborhoods of Lauda, Chacritas and El Pantano.
-Where takes place: Monte Grande, Municipality of Esteban Echeverría, Province of Buenos Aires.

Production device and job training
-Objective: To provide tools for economic independence, also create social links and  generate spaces for creation, self-esteem and containment.
-Description: Training space in trades and productive enterprises for women responsible for children and adolescents participating in SonRisas.
-Target population: 320 women graduates in the last 4 years who are active in the program.
-Where takes place: Monte Grande, Municipality of Esteban Echeverría, Province of Buenos Aires.
