The Value of Volunteering
Volunteerism is the first step in the path of continued support and promotion of causes that better our society. In this way, a
virtuous cycle of commitment is created. Our goal is to benefit from this cycle, granting a variety of tools that generate
new ways to give, be it in the form of volunteer work, raising awareness, fundraising, or other activities.

"Working with HelpArgentina I learned how effective and rewarding volunteering could potentially be. While the member organizations are well established and well organized, the staff always pushes for growth and improvement. The volunteers are given genuine responsibility and the freedom to implement their own suggestions", says Heath, who volunteered in Buenos Aires.
Becoming a Social Ambassador
Many past volunteers maintain the affiliation with their organization and continue to promote growth within the Argentine social sector by joining HelpArgentina's Social Ambassadors program.
We cultivate long-term relationships between the volunteers and their host-organizations so that the link between the two will grow even after the volunteers have returned home to their respective countries.
"One of the benefits of working through HelpArgentina is the opportunity to act as a Social Ambassador for the organization. Upon returning to the U.S. this year, a fellow volunteer and I co-hosted a small benefit in San Diego, CA to promote further awareness for HelpArgentina and to raise more money to help combat the looming bronchitis outbreak expected to hit the poorer areas of Buenos Aires this Winter. By being able to sponsor benefits back home and to easily maintain contact with fellow Ambassadors, HelpArgentina truly does offer its volunteers to really make a difference. And with hundreds of small partner organizations similar to the one I went throughout the country, I know I am not alone in my experience." Shane, volunteer in BA, January - March 2007
