Venture Philanthropy Funds (VPF)

The Venture Philanthropy Funds is a new method of social investment for individuals or groups of people. This not only offers funds to help innovative projects and social organizations in Argentina, but also offers the donor's time and experienced advice. Social investment in funds improves human capital and likewise creates a new successful paradigm on the generation of social impact.

In the past August, the four winners of a VPF from HelpArgentina were announced, that, in this case, was initiated by an American. The donor is at the moment investing US$ 80,000, as well as his advice to social initiatives. He claims "when basic business principles are applied to social sector, better results can be achieved". Service for companies

HelpArgentina designs special programs for companies Exposición de HelpArgentinaaccording to their necessities and interests. The programs include corporative volunteer conferences, matching funds for employee donations, giving circles, initiative diffusion, etc.

Help Argentina uses Strategic Philanthropy criterion to evaluate proposals, it consists in: partnerships with corporate clients to design strategies to leverage investments in communities and reflect business objectives, research to optimize philanthropic activity, development of successful giving strategies, building and managing effective programs, identification and development of partnerships, and leveraging of investments through strategic communications.

The project design for HelpArgentina together with the company is executed afterwards. HelpArgentina administrate and negotiate the delivery of funds as well as supervising the project and demonstrating the results.

HelpArgentina designs a portfolio of Strategic Philanthropy specifically created for the company. The portfolio recommends the best social investment for the company.

HelpArgentina has channeled more than US$ 1,300,000 to 55 different social organizations with different focuses, from communal development to environmental preservation.

Experience on project’s selection

Contests to identify the projects or organizations

These contests are national or local, with well-known juries and with the collaboration of the main domestic newspapers to make the selection of aid possibilities more democratic. (For example, the micro credit fund)
