HelpArgentina is a nonprofit that allows international donors to identify and support high impact nonprofits in Argentina.
Our goal is to strengthen the nonprofits working to create social change in Argentina, increase confidence in the nonprofit sector and promote the culture of giving among Argentines.
RAP was founded towards the end of 2002 with the goal of making a contribution towards the improvement of the quality of democracy in Argentina and the aspiration of developing a country with stable institutions that provides equal opportunities for all citizens; that promotes upward social mobility and the defence of freedom and of human rights; an Argentina integrated into the world with a profound respect for the rule of law, private property and entrepreneurship.
RAP currently has over 130 Politicians from different parties and ideological backgrounds that have been invited to become affiliated to the Foundation and a significant community of individuals and institutions that support its objectives and activities.
RAP offers these politicians, in addition to the support they receive from their own parties, (i) an arena where they can share their experiences, difficulties and concerns; training to promote their personal development, and provide skills and tools for their political activities; and (iii) a network of individuals and institutions willing to collaborate and provide assistance for their political action and public duties.
In exchange, RAP requests that politicians make a series of commitments, including (i) to promote the strengthening of democratic institutions with independent executive, legislative and judiciary powers; (ii) to endorse a more ethical, transparent and democratic way of conducting politics; and (iii) to maintain a level of participation in the different activities organized by the Foundation.
RAP organizes a broad array of activities in pursuit of its three strategic goals. These activities include various workshops to foster the development of political skills; seminars to discuss public policy issues; meetings with local and foreign leaders; grants for academic scholarships; visits to foreign countries to learn from best practices and develop international relationships, etc.
To facilitate the participation of RAP Politicians in these various activities the Foundation has a policy by which it covers all the inherent costs of participants. This requires a continuous fund raising effort based on three principles: (i) diversity of its donor base, to avoid dependence on any individual donor; (ii) transparency and accountability; and (iii) efficiency in the use of resources. RAP’s funding is provided by donations from individuals, from private enterprises (local and foreign) and from multilateral institutions and international foundations and organizations.
RAP (Political Action Network) is a pluralist, non-partisan foundation engaged in promoting the improvement of political leadership based on a desire to strengthen its democratic institutions and a series of common values, principles and personal codes of conduct. RAP seeks to create an environment for the development of dialogue between (i) men and women engaged in active partisan politics, and (ii) citizens and institutions with a desire to be involved in politics and public affairs from a non-partisan perspective.
RAP pursues three strategic objectives:
to strengthen the bonds and relationships between civil society and political leaders
to foster the creation of a “civic friendship” among RAP Politicians from different parties and ideological backgrounds to increase their capacity for dialogue and enhance their ability to reach consensuses and work together
to provide training and support to RAP Politicians in order to assist them in their personal development, in their political action and public duties

Based on a set of shared values and principles, RAP fosters the creation of a network between (i) men and women engaged in active partisan politics, and (ii) citizens with a calling to make a contribution towards the development of the country by getting involved, from a non-partisan perspective, in issues related with politics and public affaires.
RAP pursues three main objectives:
to strengthen the bonds and relationships between civil society and political leaders
to foster the development of a “civic friendship” among RAP Politicians who come from different parties and ideological backgrounds with the ultimate goal to strengthen the ability to reach consensuses and to work together
to provide assistance and support to the politicians who are part of the foundation (RAP Politicians) so as to cooperate with their public-office related responsibilities and with the development of their political action plans
