For over 25 years Fundacion Gente Nueva works with the poorest sections of San Carlos de Bariloche society, with the aim of promoting the integral development of people, reaffirming their dignity and their participation in the transformation of society. With a comprehensive outlook, generates proposals to reverse the exclusion and marginalization of these sectors reassessing its role as active subjects. From Gente Nueva we believe that building a better deal for underprivileged means building a better city for all, with less fragmentation of society and with more community awareness.
From 1983 to present Gente Nueva has created and has kept 10 Public Schools (students don´t pay to go there) with Social Management , covering the educational needs from early childhood to seniors. At this moment more than 1500 students are part of these institutions and with their families, and teachers and auxiliaries build a comunity that give life and meaning to each school. These institutions are free, provide quality education, form in values, and generate options that allow everyone to continue their studies (canteens, study booklets, solidarity system for payment of transportation, workshops, internships, babysitting for children of the students).
Gente Nueva also works starting from the point of community organization in different areas : Childhood, Youth, Senior adults,Training courses, productive initiatives, Land and Education. Through the permament action and the commitment towards the poorerst neighbouhoods actions are generated to reverse situations of exclusion and to face the problems this creates within the community, taking into account the multiple causes in the context of a city with a strong social inequality.

Education
The construction is underway for the 10th school of Gente Nueva: A vocational school in the neighborhood Quimey Hue de Bariloche.
Moreover, 10 schools (preschools, elementary schools, high schools, trade schools) need to be sustained through our educational projects and to have their infrastructure maintained in optimal condition. For this, we need financial donations so that we can achieve our goal of helping the poorest sectors of society access a quality education.
Innovation
Investors are needed for a social enterprise. Gente Nueva has given birth to a social enterprise called Emprendimientos Technologías para la Vida (Technological Initiatives for Living), at www.etvida.com.ar, that spreads the availability of technology that raises the quality of life of the sectors of the population that most need it. Currently, un ETV workshops we are producing manual water pump systems that are being sent to various parts of the country. We need to incorporate investors into this company to reach a self-sustainable level.
