SIEMPREVIDA is the most ambitious program of Fundación Luciérnaga and a challenge whose impact will be on a world wide level. Through HelpArgentina the program is spreading and remaining transparent. Currently, in 2007, it is an incipient project but of the utmost urgency. Its development implies a look to tomorrow; with the knowledge that the future of equilibrium in our planetary biosphere depends on the survival of the biodiversity in our forests, jungles, wetlands, and other ecologically at-risk areas.

SIEMPREVIDA will not be possible without the conscious assistence of the international community. It is necessary to generate economic support to save the planet, we do not live in a utopia. Argentina is a country with innumerable biological wealth, and is responsible for its preservation. There is an emergingly urgent need to safeguard these reserves from the constant advance of ecological degradation, desertification, deforestation, pollution and irreversible loss of life in its purest material expression. In play is the equilibrium of a biological system where all of human existence can be developed.

This project needs Environmental Ambassadors across the world that have woken up to the compromise necessary to slow down this suicidal advance.

Goals:

Fundación Luciérnaga asume el compromiso de generar políticas sociales y de protección ambiental que puedan atender emergentes en la población y área geográfica bajo su influencia.

Objectives:

En el aspecto ambiental: Combatir el deterioro ambiental a través de acciones paliativas y educación ambiental y
En el aspecto social: Generar proyectos que mejoren la calidad de vida de la sociedad a través de acciones paliativas y de capacitación.

Programs:

Ambientales: Programa SIEMPREVIDA: de protección de bosques nativos y áreas naturales en riesgo ecológico. Programa HABITAR: recibe denuncias de agresión al ámbito natural como derrames y otras contaminaciones, generando políticas paliativas y de remediación. FESTIVAL DE LA TIERRA: actividad festiva y de concientización en Argentina junto a 30 países coordinado por Terralliance de Francia.
Sociales: Pehuén Banco de Alimentos: banco que ayuda en la lucha contra el hambre y la desnutrición en la región nor patagónica. MANOS A LA OBRA: Organismo de Transferencia de subsidios productivos de Nación. OSC: Programa de capacitación y fortalecimiento a organizaciones de la sociedad civil incipientes o en crisis
