Javier Zanetti to be honored
We are very pleased to announce that Javier Zanetti will be the host and special honoree at the 2009 HelpArgentina Social Ambassadors award.  Javier, in addition to being one of Argentina’s most important soccer players, exemplifies the spirit of the Social Ambassador Award. He and his wife Paula established the PUPI Foundation (Por un Piberío Integrado, For Integrated Children) to offer resources and guidance to at risk children, with the objective of giving them and their families faith, dignity and hope for a better future. This, without a doubt, is what defines a true Social Ambassador.

The HelpArgentina Social Ambassador Award
This award is designed to recognize both individuals and groups outside of Argentina that devote their time and skills to raising funds for Argentine social organizations. Javier was selected as host and honoree not only because he represents the values and meaning of this initiative but also because his personal character and status as a world-renowned public figure will provide inspiration to others to follow his example and become Social Ambassadors.
