Encouragement Scholarships for Doctoral Fellows

Every year we allocate u$s 29,000 to provide 8 “encouragement scholarships” to doctoral fellows who are doing their doctoral thesis at our laboratories. Among them, we chose the 2 top students of the course “Tópicos de Biología Molecular Avanzada” given by Principal Investigators of Instituto Leloir. Through this program, we encourage their efforts and we contribute to create an internal culture in which meritocracy is the rule.

Each fellow gets ARs 900 a month (around $300), during a period of 2 years. The scholarship can be renewed for 2 extra years if the evaluating committee considers his or her performance is outstanding.

This support suplement the fellowships all doctoral students get from public sources: CONICET and ANPCyT. They take the name of Leloir and Cardini, in memory of two brilliant scientists that represent the values we want to foster.

We ask for an annual donation of $ 300 or more. If 96 people give that amount they will cover the whole Encouragement Scholarship Fund.
