Start-up grants for the recruitment of new group leaders

Main Objetive:

To facilitate the startup phase of their projects to the new Chiefs of Laboratory that enter to the Institute by an Open International Contest.

Description:

Since 2001, we launched a successful program to repatriate high-performing young scientists. Five world-class group leaders have already been incorporated to our Institute. The selection procedure consists in international open competitions ruled by a highly qualified Selection Committee.

We plan to recruit 3 new group leaders in the next three years. Each selected candidate will receive a start-up grant of u$s 30,000 to cover the expenses needed to launch a new laboratory at our Institute.

Budget:

Each Start-Up grant: u$s 30.000. Total: u$s 90.000
