InsightArgentina offers merit-based scholarships.Our scholarships consist of either a full or partial waiver of the original program fee of USD450, but do not cover travel costs, accommodation, etc.
Criteria to qualify for these scholarships include:
- Proficiency in the Spanish language
- Related experience in the field of work
- A minimum 4 month/20 hour per week time commitment
- Demonstrated economic need and a letter of motivation explaining why you should receive the waiver. Please include why you you want to be a volunteer and what your objectives are.
Commitments for the scholarship:
- Fill out an application online and attach CV
- A voluntary agreement upon return to his or her home country to raise awareness about and help to promote the HelpArgentina volunteer program (This may include writing an article for a local newspaper, organizing a photo journal and presenting it to family and friends, or distributing institutional material about HelpArgentina at your university, etc.)
- A fundraising plan and voluntary commitment to become a Social Ambassador for your host-organization.We ask that the fundraising plan be shared with HelpArgentina before you complete the volunteer program.
We recommend that the volunteer attempt to raise at least USD200 for the host-organization.
