HelpArgentina is a nonprofit that allows international donors to identify and support high impact nonprofits in Argentina.

Our goal is to strengthen the nonprofits working to create social change in Argentina, increase confidence in the nonprofit sector and promote the culture of giving among Argentines.

Goals: To improve the community’s quality of life

Description:

Microcredits for productive projects for people who do not have access to conventional credits.
Grameen methodology forms teams made up of five people of the same sex, that are not realated and live in the same neighborhood.
Each person receives a credit that must be used for a productive project. Most projects involve food, catalogue sales, handicrafts, etc.
This methodology is based on mutual trust and group responsability, since credit holders are not requiered any guarantees; the whole team in responsible for each member’s payments.
Since the beginning of the project in December 2007 to October 2008, Fundación León has financed 85 microcredits.

Budget: $600 ARG, US$ 200. This is the value of 1 microcredit, which will be used for a productive project for people who do not have access to conventional credits.
