"These children were some of the happiest kids I’ve ever been around. I was lucky that they let me into their world and shared with me the wonders of the river, the stars and their nighttime gatherings around the fire. I often didn’t understand what they were saying, but our smiles and laughs communicated almost everything", says Regina, who volunteered in the indigenous community of La Estrella.
