Description: The project aims to improve literacy education for all residents of these two rural communities to help break the cycle of poverty in which they are immersed.
The achieve these ends the project has four fundamental components: training for teachers and community leaders to provide them with the tools and skills to improve literacy education in their communities and promote reading, the donation of bibliographic and didactic resources to outfit a literacy education space in local schools, the celebration of three Reading Working Holidays in each school for 365 children in which the students participate in activities that reinforce their desire to read, the organization of motivational reading activities to awaken the community's desire to read.
