Microcredit Seed Fund

Microcredit has become an important tool for creating self sufficiency in most of the developing world, but remains underdeveloped and underutilized in Argentina.  The growth of microcredit in Argentina has been limited by several challenges, but the lack of interest free capital to expand loan portfolios is one of the most serious issues faced by small and medium sized microcredit institutions in Argentina.

The Microcredit Seed Fund was established specifically to provide grants to allow organizations to expand their loan portfolios and grow towards financial sustainability.  The Fund identifies small, high potential organizations with strong management and a commitment to sustainability and provides loan portfolio grants.
