Since 2003 we have been accomplishing a dream. We need your help to make it a reality for many more. With a small but constant monthly donation we can achieve a lot. In 1838, a group of Scottish settlers determined to educate their children in their own language, culture and faith opened a tiny school in the Presbyterian Church. The founders sought to integrate Christian faith and practice with academic distinction. In their eyes, education is an instrument of moral training, directed to its highest purpose when it is made not merely an exercise of the mind but a training of the opinions, disposition and habits. In character undoubtedly lie the essential elements of human happiness or human misery. In the very roots of the school, the idea of giving opportunities to everyone was already present. Diversity and plurality would enhance and confirm them as a community. In August 2003, the Scholarship Fund was built as an Endowment. The donations it receives have the exclusive purpose of financing the school fees to ensure that those families who share the same values have the opportunity of being part of the school. The alumni families are prioritised as they belong to the inner circle of the community.13 scholarships have already been granted to 9 families that for different economic reasons can not afford the fees. We know there are still many families that could benefit with the Scholarship Fund. We also know how much those families can enrich our community.WE COUNT ON YOU!Scholarship Endowment Fund: The Scholarship Endowment Fund is legally protected to ensure the specific use of the resources and includes basic administration criteria that forsee constant growth of the fund in order not to need additional donations in the mid-term. We are building a fund whose interests will soon be enough to give the financial help required.

St. Andrew's Scots School aims to graduate responsible citizens committed to serving Argentina and contributing to its equitable development through a well-balanced, bilingual education which meets high international standards and fosters a joy for learning.

Pupils are taught to inquire deeply, work responsibly and care for others, themselves and the environment. We build their character in a diverse and respectful community, expecting high standards of discipline and commitment, supporting them to reach their full potential and nurturing their intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions.

The ethic and moral foundations of St. Andrew's Scots School are anchored in its Presbyterian heritage, rooted in the Sacred Scriptures.

As a community, which seeks the flourishing of all its members within and beyond the School, St. Andrew's Scots School affirms its commitment to enshrine certain ideals throughout all teaching, administrative and organisational activities.

The first of these is consideration for the needs, rights, interests and feelings of each person; a steady disposition to treat others as we ourselves would wish to be treated.

This is enshrined in the universal precept of the 'Golden Rule', the practical habit of "loving our neighbours as ourselves". The active expression of this attitude is characterised by such virtues as:
These virtues need to be espoused in a spirit of openness, as commitment to them calls for discovery and renewal in our life as members of the community

For 2007, the Headmaster and the School Committee have agreed and prioritised the following objectives:

  • Work towards maintaining and improving a positive organizational climate, with special emphasis on developing collegial relationships amongst staff towards the consolidation of a professional learning community.
  • Develop a human resources strategy based on Strategic Plan objectives and formulate an action plan for its implementation
  • Gain a better awareness of pastoral issues within the student body and implement related specific initiatives.
  • Design a framework and action plan for reconverting the school curriculum and teaching practices to incorporate 21st Century Skills and state-of-the-art learning and teaching techniques (including IT impact and implications)
  • Develop a set of academic, non-academic and economic indicators that measures effective resource allocation at SASS, as well as provide a tool to gauge the outcomes of strategic plan initiatives .
  • Define the short and medium term infrastructure vision for the school that tends towards better fulfillment of the school Mission.
  • Analyze and design an action plan for related fundraising / financing initiatives.
