For causes that have not been confirmed yet, apparently a short circuit in the bathroom area of the students’ lodge started an uncontrollable fire that totally destroyed our school.

Despite the effort of the staff and the firefighters of Junín, the building with all its facilities, including classrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen and the school lodge were completely destroyed.

Today there are only ashes and debris were the school used to be.

Although this is a tragedy, fortunately there was not a single victim. The school had antipanic doors, and the students who were staying at the school lodge were evacuated without complications.

Nevertheless, more than 1,500 m2 of building, including 7 classrooms, 35 computers, 120 beds from the lodge, a library, bathrooms, kitchens, books and all the documentation are completely lost.

The students will be accommodated temporarily in the Argentinean Army facilities.

We now have two goals: to avoid postponing the date established for the commencement of classes (September 17th), and to rebuild the school. All this will require a colossal effort. Today, more than ever, we need your help.
