In a moving ceremony in the Museo Metropolitano, HelpArgentina presented the winners of the 2011 Social Ambassadors Award, which recognizes people who support Argentine Social Organizations from abroad.
With more than 100 guests and Juan S. Stegmann as the announcer, the prizes were awarded by Julio Bocca, honour host of the 2011 Social Ambassadors.
The winners of the fourth edition were: Che Amigo Foundation and Sumando Manos Foundation, and Gabriella Oldrini and Catherine Saint-Macary.
Catherine Saint Macary is French. She lived many years in Argentina but now she is living in Paris. She supports Cruzada Patagónica for more than ten years now, organizing different fundraising activities. Also, she sends a regular newsletter to her contacts with information and needs of the organization, inviting them to collaborate.
Gabriella Oldrini is Italian and lives in Legnano. She has been holding fundraising events for the Fundación Obra del Padre Mario. Particularly, she obtained donations not only from the city of Buenos Aires, but also from Italian societies, foundations, artists, etc.
Che Amigo Foundation is a nonprofit organization legally established in Holland. It was founded by Jasper Wegman, who raised more than 150.000 Euros in Holland for different projects in Argentina. They collaborate strongly with the Fundación Padre Chifri and the construction of a high school in Quebrada del Toro, Salta.
Sumando Manos Foundation is a nonprofit organization legally established in the United States, which seeks to raise funds for social projects in Argentina. It was founded in 2005 by a group of friends residing in Miami. They raise funds, through donations and events, for organizations and social projects in Argentina and mobilize others Argentines to join them.
