Annual Meeting of All of HelpArgentina’s Member Organizations, A Success!

This past April 8th marked The Annual Meeting of all of HelpArgentina’s Member Organizations at the Microsoft Argentina Auditorium.

The event, which was focused on providing the knowledge and skills to improve fundraising efforts abroad, was attended by more than 40 of HelpArgentina's member organizations. As part of the agenda,  representatives of three of our member organizations shared their fundraising experiences. Leticia Perard from Cruzada Patagónica and Silvia Flores from la Cooperativa La Juanita, discussed how they were able to capitalize on the efforts of  social ambassadors and former volunteers to motivate donations. Sarah Fine from Cimientos also shared her experiences in  international fundraising  whileVictoria Wigodsky and Johnathan Clifford Wheeler's presented a unique  experience: and explaine how  they had decided to ask their wedding guests  to donate to a social organization in Argentina as a wedding gift.

To close the event, there was a special presentation from a panel of experts in the field of fundraising: Mercedes Campos de Oris de Roa (a member of HelpArgentina's advisory board) and Norma Galafassi (current President of AEDROS and co-director of In2action). Their presentation focused on the key concepts and strategies for successful  fundraising.

The participating organizations were very enthusiastic about the experience and  HelpArgentina hopes to offer a series of trainings to continue strengthening the organizations of the  social sector.
