Description: One of the main
projects in the medium range of the Baccigalupo Foundation is to replicate the teaching
and procedure model in different locations around the country. How do we do
this? By providing training workshops to physical education teachers and
volunteer workers in special sports. The themes we cover are: general concepts
regarding disabilities, the value of sports as an instrument to fit in and
socialization, the role of the student's teacher and the family, planning,
diagnosis, didactics and pedagogy, focus exercises and which materials to use.
The workshops additionally include sports exhibition activities where we invite
local children and young people. The object is to achieve that the benefits
that come hand in hand with the practice of sports reaches a higher number of
young people with intellectual disabilities all over the country.
Budget: U$ 6000.
Funds
are destined for: transportation, lodging, development of didactic material -
manuals and multimedia support-, for each of the participants (average of 30
per session), sporting material - psychomotor kits, mini nets, balls, rackets,
among others. The number of beneficiaries is estimated at 60 children per
locality.
