Some examples of funds administration are:
Foreign Foundation Funds: Administration of US$ 100,000 generated by a foreign foundation together with matching funds provided by HelpArgentina of US$ 175,000. Total funds administered: US$ 275,000. A portfolio of social investment was done for this donor that included options from an economic development contest in the Northeast and Northwest provinces of Argentina to support a big project of a communal development foundation in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. (Already completed)
Micro Credit Funds: Administration of US$ 21,000 collected by HelpArgentina among several donors of USA and Argentina plus matching funds from HelpArgentina of another US$ 7,000. Total raised: US$ 28,000. This fund was given to three micro credit organizations in Tucumán, Formosa y Buenos Aires to help them to expand their credit offering. The selection of organizations was done through a National Contest together with the newspapers La Nación and Clarín; they not only carried out the announcement but also shaped a part of the jury together with micro credit specialists.
Education and Youth Funds: Administration of US$ 40,000 from a young Swiss donor group campaign to support a project in Misiones developed by Fundación Leer. Through a contest carried out for Help Argentina, the donors selected the project between our member organizations according to the instructions and the interest of the investor group.
Social enterprising Funds: Administration of US$ 80,000 generated by an American donor. It carried out a contest for entrepreneurship in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. There were four winners. This project involves advising and personal consultancy to the donor and to each one of the projects (first funds are currently being sent).
HelpArgentina took charge of the design of the social investment programs, the set up and carrying out of the contests, the hand over and administration of the funds, monitoring the social projects, and the supervision and writing of the partial and final reports.
