To promote solidarity and social volunteering.
 
  • To promote solidarity in the areas of health, education and community development.
  • To work towards the improvement of Hospital Centro de Salud.
  • To promote education based on values.
  • To promote a culture of solidarity in education.
  •  To improve the quality of life of people through microcredits.

  •  Programa Ezequiel (Health). Social aid for patients in Centro de Salud Hospital. Bruns, Orthopaedics, Gynecology and Urology Wards.
  •  Programa Matías (Community Development). Value education workshops for children and teenagers in Oeste I, II, Nicolas Avellaneda and San José neighborhoods of San Miguel de Tucumán. Divino Niño Soup Kitchen – Espiritu Santo Parrish.
  •  Programa Lucia (Community Development – Bank of the Poor) Microcredit funding for people who cannot access conventional credits in Tucuman.
  • Programa Dafna (Education). Service learning mentoring projects in public and private schools in Tucuman. Maria del Rosario Private School and Comercio IV provincial school.

  • Fundación León implemented in Tucumán the first replica of Grameen Bank of the Poor (2007). In 9 months of hard work, it financed 85 microcredits, supporting 85 productive projects and improving the lives of approximately 340 credit holders.
  • In the health sector, Fundación León donates medicines to the Burnt Ward of Hospital Centro de Salud Zenon Santillan. Furthermore, our aim this year is to create a Rehabilitative Equipment  Community Outreach Project and lend wheelchairs, walking sticks, crutches, walkers and ulcer prevention mattresses.
  • Fundación León works with Divino Niño Soup Kitchen, through value education workshops and contributing with resources to feed about 100 children from low income families. On National Childrens’ Day, about 200 children participated in a special event, where they received gifts and shared a meal.
  • In education, Fundación León promotes service learning through an agreement with the National Ministry of Education, and created the first group of student volunteers in a public middle school of  the province.
