HelpArgentina is a nonprofit that allows international donors to identify and support high impact nonprofits in Argentina.

Our goal is to strengthen the nonprofits working to create social change in Argentina, increase confidence in the nonprofit sector and promote the culture of giving among Argentines.

United Way Argentina is the result of 10 companies engaged in 2008, whom took the model of United Way Worlwide and joined to create a space through which they could channel their social investment and corporate volunteerism, in order to impact the community in a deeper way as a team and not as individual companies. Today, United Way Argentina has 16 member companies and work through four axes which the Foundation focuses on both those points (Early Childhood and Work Inclusion) Social Investment, Corporate Volunteering, Donations in kind, and Corporate Special Projects.

United Way Argentina is now funding and supporting 12 projects related to our focuses in Capital Federal and the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Córdoba, San Luis and Mendoza.

So far, we have impacted the lives of more than 4,000 families, 1000 vulnerable youth, 4,000 children, worked with more than 30 organizations, microcredit 590 delivered, and funded over 30 projects proposed by the employees of member companies.

In the last year we have tripled corporate volunteer activities, quadruplicate hours donated by volunteers, and have made ​​significant achievements for the organization, such as external financing through international cooperation, subsidies from local governments, and local and international awards programs and projects being undertaken. Also in 2011, we launched the first project of United Way's own performance in Argentina: the Born Learning program aimed at strengthening community centers.

United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. We galvanize and connect a diverse set of individuals and institutions, and mobilize resources to create long-term change in the areas of education, income and health.

We have 6 programs that reveal the 12 projects we finance, including corporate volunteering. The programs we support in the pockets of Early Childhood and Work Inclusion are: Growing Learning, Growing Healthy, Starting to work, Helping to Work, Volunteer Corporate and From Within.

The governing body consists of an Advisory Council (CEOs of member companies), an Administration Board, consisting of one representative from each of the founding member companies; and three working committees: Proyects, Communication and Institutional Development, also employees represented by volunteers from member companies
